If you’re a fan of Prime Video, here’s some good news: September is going to be a killer month full of great movies and TV shows. Those who enjoy the rough and rowdy world of The Boys will be pleased to know that Season 2 of Gen V (the spinoff that takes this quirky comic franchise back to school) is releasing on September 17. Fan hopes are high, especially among those of us who felt the last season of The Boys failed to make the grade.
Additional new series include high school rock band show The Runarounds (Sept. 1), a series about a trio of con artists called Confidence Queen (Sept. 6), and The Girlfriend (Sept. 10), a new original series starring Robin Wright and House of the Dragon star Olivia Cooke.
Care more about comedy than comic books? You’re in luck, because the entire four-season run of The Good Place is dropping on September 26. The show’s whip-smart dialogue is keener and funnier than ever, but what if you want something a little lower-brow? In that case, be sure to check out Helluva Boss when it drops on September 10. Fans of this crass cartoon will be able to stream the first two seasons along with a new episode called “Mission: Zero.”
Movie buffs will enjoy revisiting some of their favorite titles, including Burn After Reading, The Bourne Identity, and The Craft, all of which drop on September 1. This is also a great month for TV lovers because all of Friday Night Lights is dropping on September 1, and Season 13 of American Horror Story is releasing on September 26.
