If you’re a fan of horror, fantasy, and the supernatural, and you don’t subscribe to AMC+, now is the perfect time to rethink that decision, not just because we’re venturing deeper into the Halloween season. The streaming platform is home to some of the best Anne Rice adaptations of witch and vampire lore, and they’re about to come face-to-face with the secret order that oversees them all.
These three chilling and stylish Anne Rice TV shows are why an AMC+ subscription matters right now.
3
Interview with the Vampire
First popularized on-screen by the 1994 hit film, Anne Rice’s Interview with the Vampire has made quite a comeback with AMC’s series adaptation, which took its own liberties and saw some titillating differences, making the series worth that AMC+ subscription.
Almost 50 years after a near-fatal encounter, cynical journalist Daniel Molloy (Eric Bogosian, of Billions) sits down for another interview with the vampire Louis de Pointe du Lac, played by an enigmatic Jacob Anderson (Game of Thrones). In the series, du Lac is no Brad Pitt lookalike. He’s formerly a gay Black Creole human, but he still endures a toxic relationship with the manipulative, mentally unstable, yet alluringly captivating Lestat de Lioncourt (The Newsreader’s Sam Reid)—also a vampire.
At this point in the series, Louis is almost 150 years old, and his life with Lestat rests many years in the past. He still longs to tell Daniel his life story, but whereas in the film it centered on his volatile relationship with his maker, here it involves his current paramour, an ancient vampire named Armand (Assad Zaman, Hotel Portofino). The more Louis talks, the more Daniel realizes he has a major book on his hands.
While the series is expressively romantic in nature, it’s extremely well-balanced in structure and tone. It takes a classic novel and builds upon it by adding in a critique of racial and relationship dynamics, and by using different time periods to explore new thematic depth, which makes the show feel much fresher than a typical vampire series. Seasons one and two are currently streaming, with season three slated to premiere in 2026.
2
Mayfair Witches
Based on the novel trilogy, Anne Rice’s Mayfair Witches follows a neurosurgeon as she discovers that she is the sole heir to a dynasty of powerful witches haunted by a sinister spirit. The horror-thriller series dives deep into the mythology of witchcraft, yielding a sex-laden saga full of magic, twists, surprises, and death, spanning hundreds of years and thousands of miles.
Alexandra Daddario (The White Lotus) stars as Rowan Fielding, our preternaturally gifted surgeon who also has other talents. When she gets mad, she’s able to kill with her mind. Troubled by these newfound powers, Rowan seeks out her mysterious birth family and is led home to New Orleans, where she ultimately finds that the Mayfair family tree’s root system is knotted and branched beyond belief.
When she is thrust into an ancient prophecy, it results in the resurrection of the spirit who has haunted the family for generations, Lasher (Jack Huston, of Fargo TV series), with whom Rowan must now contend. She has a different plan, though, and is determined to use him to achieve her purpose as a healer. However, she soon finds that her struggle will forever lead to one place, and one place only: the origin of the Mayfair legacy.
Seasons one and two are currently streaming on AMC+, with season three scheduled to arrive in early 2026.

Talamasca: The Secret Order
As the most highly anticipated new series on the platform this year, Talamasca: The Secret Order follows the Talamasca, a secret society of men and women whose sole job is to protect the world and its mortal beings from the supernatural.
On the cusp of graduating from law school, Guy Anatole (Nicholas Denton, of Dangerous Liaisons) receives a visit from a representative of the Talamasca, who he learns is there to protect the world from vampires, witches, werewolves, and demons. When Guy further learns they’ve been following him since he was a child, he tumbles down a rabbit hole into a world of secret agents and immortals who work to maintain the world’s fragile balance. But come on, you know that’s not all. There is, of course, something special about Guy that the Talamasca wants, so who’s really being tracked here?
The cast also includes Elizabeth McGovern (Downton Abbey: The Grand Finale), who portrays seasoned Talamasca veteran Helen, and SAG Award-winner William Fichtner, of Mom, as Jasper, a mysterious figure who subtly assumes influence over the order’s London Motherhouse. Additionally, Maisie Richardson-Sellers (Nine Perfect Strangers) will play ambitious order agent Olive, and The Kollective’s Celine Buckens will play the headstrong character Doris. Jason Schwartzman will guest star as a charming but rakish vampire who leads a sheltered life tucked away in a luxurious penthouse in the Upper West Side.
Talamasca: The Secret Order premieres Sunday, October 26, 2025, and you’re definitely going to want to add it to your custom watchlist.
These three AMC Network’s original series all tie together as part of Anne Rice’s Immortal Universe, and the Talamasca appear throughout many of her novels. Here, Anne Rice’s Talamasca functions as a bridge between Interview and Mayfair, so, there you have it. Drink with the vamps, cast spells with the witches, and stalk creatures with the secret order, only on AMC+. Before you leave, though, see what else is new and continuing on the platform this season.
