The Kansas City Chiefs offering up extensive access to its players, coaches and facilities for an entire season shows how confident they were of securing the ‘threepeat’. The six-part docuseries pulls the curtain back, not just on the training ground and dressing room, but on the players’ and coaches’ personal lives, though quite how much Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce content they got to shoot remains to be seen. The Chiefs coach is no stranger to tragedy. He lost his oldest son Garrett to a heroin overdose, and his second son, Britt, severely injured a five-year-old in a DWI car incident. Episode 2, titled “Don’t Judge”, will also aim to address the accusation that the Chiefs are happy to reward players’ bad behavior just as long as they keep winning.
